Should you use Unleaded 88?

For most cars built in 2001 or later, yes, it's approved and it's typically cheaper. It has slightly less energy per gallon than E10, so mileage can drop by about 1 to 2%, which usually still leaves you ahead on cost. Don't use it in motorcycles, boats, small engines or older cars unless the manufacturer allows it. Check your owner's manual or fuel door.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Sheetz gas cheaper than other stations?

Sheetz uses fuel partly to bring customers inside for food and drinks, so it often prices gas competitively. Unleaded 88 is also usually cheaper than regular.

Is Unleaded 88 bad for my car?

Not for most cars from 2001 onward, which the EPA has approved for E15. Check your owner's manual, and don't use it in small engines, boats or motorcycles.

Does Sheetz charge more for credit cards?

Sheetz generally shows one price for cash and credit, but policies can change. The pump display shows the price you'll pay.
