Does Sheetz take EBT?

Many Sheetz stores accept EBT for SNAP-eligible items. Under federal SNAP rules, eligible items are generally foods meant to be prepared or eaten at home: packaged snacks, cold drinks, milk, bread, fruit and cold packaged sandwiches. You can't use SNAP for:

  • Hot food, including MTO orders and hot coffee
  • Food meant to be eaten in the store
  • Alcohol and tobacco
  • Fuel, car washes and non-food items

Some states run a Restaurant Meals Program that allows certain SNAP recipients to buy hot prepared food at participating restaurants. Whether a Sheetz store takes part depends on the state and the store.

Paying with your phone

Most registers accept contactless payment. At the pump, look for the contactless symbol. You can also pay through the Sheetz app for MTO orders, which adds Rewardz points automatically.
